Desserts for the Middle Way House Women's Business Luncheon

Middle Way House Business Luncheon

Wow! We have a wonderful community of women that came out to support the Middle Way House and share a business lunch together. Susan Lyons, along with her key volunteers pulled together a silent auction, the largest Women's Business luncheon yet, and some wonderful speakers.
There will be more posted shortly, but here are some pictures of food.

The Pricing Guidelines have been updated.

Our pricing guidelines have been updated.

It is difficult for a catering business to provide written pricing guidelines. There are many factors which can affect the pricing of a catering event. The size of an event may enable us to provide a per/meal price break (for a larger event) that may not be available for a smaller number. We cannot adequately describe all of the variations in menu and service available. Suffice it to say that we individualize our catering each and every time and will work closely with you to create menus that satisfy any budget restrictions or culinary preferences. The guidelines we are providing are to assist you when speaking to the Head Chef about options, and are not set in stone.

We pride ourselves in truly catering to individual tastes and requirements and hope that you feel free to request variations.

Spring is here!

Food Works is staying very busy these days. For instance, tomorrow there is a Rotary luncheon for eighty and the Middle Way House annual meeting in the evening. We will be providing the annual meeting of about 100 attendees with cookies, fruit, crackers and dip, along with iced tea.

Spring break gave the contracted food kitchen located at the Villages somewhat of a breather. We cater the Villages Childcare Center, the Senior Nutrition Sites for Area 10, and the Head Start sites out of that kitchen. Spring break closes the Head Start sites, so we had a smaller amount of meals being prepared for last week from that site.

The catering kitchen's calendar is filling up steadily. We would like all of you interested in catering during the graduation season to schedule your catering now, or we may not be able to place you on our calendar. June is also traditionally a very busy month for us because of all the weddings.

We have been selling soup each weekend at the Winter Market at Harmony School. We have been getting a lot of feedback and are taking all of your comments into consideration. We are still taking orders for cookies, and we are looking for a way to develop ongoing orders for specialty items.

For now, the pricing guidelines located on the right side of this page, are what we are using to assist in pricing your catering requests. The seemingly never-ending increase in food and gas prices are going to require that we adjust these prices soon. We will always be proud of providing the highest quality food and service at the best price.

Middle Way House has a busy event calendar, and you will now see links to their events on the right side of this page also.

Enjoy the warmer weather!
